These are photos of lava entering the ocean from Fissure 8 in Leilani Estates on the Big Island, Hawaii. At this time,  there was lava pouring into the ocean for about 2 miles along the coast, creating new land, beaches and tide pools, from a the fissure, which was 8 miles away. This photo was taken was near the main entry point at that time.
